Avoiding back pain during pregnancy
Ever since you became pregnant, your back has been aching, and we understand. Fortunately, there are many ways to relieve the pain! Here are the right things to do to relieve your back pain during your pregnancy.
Sit properly
Sitting (along with lying down) is still the best way to rest your spine.
Correct your arch
Adopt a good posture from the beginning of your pregnancy. Most of the time you should stand with your pelvis in retroversion (backwards). That is, tilt your pelvis very slightly backwards.
Make sure that you do not slouch when you sit down
Always arch your back in the most comfortable position. You can also try sitting on a soft cushion or a buoy.
Use a pillow to support your stomach
When you sleep on your side, place a pillow under your stomach.
Get a massage
A lower back massage often helps relieve sore and tired muscles.
Get plenty of rest
Your back won't have to support your big belly anymore! Get enough sleep at night and, if possible, take a nap to relieve pregnant back pain.
Take a bath
A nice warm bath, hot water bottle or jet of hot water can help reduce the pain.
